Eliminating Cache Stampedes in Multi-Node Memory Architectures
When scaling cache layers across multiple physical nodes, naive modulo hashing (hash(key) % N) creates catastrophic cache stampedes whenever a node is added or removed, as almost 100% of keys remap to new servers simultaneously. Implementing Consistent Hashing with virtual vnodes in Go ensures that node changes only remap K/N keys, preserving origin database protection.
