Many beginners create a Fiverr gig, wait weeks and get nothing. Usually the gig is too broad, the title doesn’t match what buyers search, or the packages are confusing. Here is how to build a gig that buyers can find and trust.

From my own work: I have sold web development and WordPress services as a freelancer and reviewed many Bangladeshi freelancers’ gigs. The gigs that win are specific (“fix WordPress speed”, not “any website work”) and show real proof.
1. Choose a narrow service
Search Fiverr for your skill and study the first page: what is offered, prices and reviews. Pick a specific angle you can deliver well, such as “Elementor landing page in 3 days” instead of “website design”. New to freelancing? Start with how to start freelancing in Bangladesh.
2. Write a searchable title
Use the words buyers type. Formula: I will [service] for [buyer/result], for example “I will speed up your WordPress website for a 90+ PageSpeed score”. Choose the most accurate category and use all five search tags.
3. Create three clear packages
| Package | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Low-risk first order | Speed audit + 3 fixes |
| Standard | Most popular | Full optimisation of one site |
| Premium | Highest value | Optimisation + CDN + 30 days support |
State exactly what is included, revisions and delivery time.
4. Design honest gig images
Use a clean 1280×769 image with a short benefit and real examples of your work. Add a short intro video if you can. Never use other people’s work as your portfolio.
5. Write a buyer-focused description
- Start with the buyer’s problem and the result.
- List what you deliver and your process.
- Explain why you (experience, tools, examples).
- Add requirements questions so orders start smoothly.
6. Follow Fiverr rules
Keep communication and payments on Fiverr, don’t share contact details before an order, and don’t buy fake reviews. Read the Terms of Service and Community Standards; violations can get your account restricted.
7. Get your first orders
- Reply to messages quickly; response time matters to buyers.
- Send thoughtful Buyer Request or brief offers when available.
- Share your gig on LinkedIn and your portfolio website.
- Over-deliver on early orders and ask politely for honest reviews.
- Improve the gig monthly based on impressions and clicks.

FAQ
How long does it take to get the first Fiverr order?
It varies from days to months; a specific gig, fair price and fast replies help most.
Should I price very low at first?
A slightly lower Basic package helps, but extremely low prices attract difficult buyers and are hard to raise later.
How many gigs should I create?
Start with two or three focused gigs for related services rather than many weak ones.
